Barbados in September

Late September found us in Barbados, home of flying fish, $2 buses and gorgeous beaches.  As with last year's trip to Bermuda, Barbados was chosen based on availability rather than any burning desire to visit the island.  That's where the similarities between the islands ended.

The south end of the island is must rustic (as rustic as a Sandals resort will allow for, anyway), while the western side is more coiffed.

[Updates and additional pictures to come!]

Well hello, Barbados!

Jet Blue for the win.

The view from Turtle Bay.  Apparently we were trespassing.

Dover Beach.

Rum raisin and vanilla cherry ice cream at Chefette.
In Barbados, vanilla means butterscotch and cherries
mean 'the colored things you find in fruit cake'.
