Next year, one of these will be mine!

The 2013 Raceway Park/ NJ Sprint Series Awards Dinner was great fun.  At the end of every season, the points are tabulated and everyone gathers for a cute little dinner/ awards ceremony/ door prize extravaganza in NJ.  This year was my first time in attendance.   I came in fourth in total points this year, but finished out of trophy range, not for lack of fourth place trophies, but because I wasn't eligible for a trophy as a non-member.  (If I'd made weight for the first two races I was in, I might have finished in third.)

So, in 2014, I'll need to 1) get an RP membership and 2) make it to enough events and 3) make weight.  If I can accomplish all of the above, I can take home my very own plastic trophy!  

One of the best exchanges of the night: 

"Is that cabbage?" 

"What? In the salad?  That's lettuce." 

"No, that."  

"THAT?  Uh, that is an artichoke."

No, seriously.  I want that trophy.
