Suburban garden turtle: rarely seen outside of captivity
Tropical Storm Irene coaxed more than a few woodland creatures out of their lairs. As never before captured on film, the rare suburban garden turtle.

Smell-o-vision.
So yesterday's ROYGBIV theme totally went over my head. My bad. Red, Orange, yellow, Green, Brown, Inedible Ventana?
Today: smell-o-vision. Singer and Bo took a romp into the mucky pond today and managed to roll in every bit of stink they could find. Bo is quite proud of herself, evidenced by her boastful lounging. Singer is just content: ears back, nose poised to take in all of the olfactory symphony.

Getting close and personal with some tire rubber. It would be better if I could pull off saying "I live my life a quarter mile at a time" with a straight face.

How much is that foster doggie in the window? Free!
I should probably get around to introducing the stars of the show. The brindle doggie with the hopeful eyes in yesterday's picture is Singer. She's probably the best thing since goat cheese! The apricot colored teddy bear to the left is Bodacious, but I just call her Bo. Or BoBo. She's a foster dog, which means that I take care of her until I fall in love with her and decide to adopt her myself -- I mean, until the right person comes along and incorporates her into their family!

Day 1: Doggie Blues
What's better than two puppies and a sack full of blue potatoes? Two puppies and [hopefully] a pan full of tasty roasted blue potato wedges!
